My educated guess is the one with the ball cap and GREEN SHIRT. :D

Barking up the wrong tree, I think. While A4s is lying in the weeds (and probably also enjoying this), I don't believe he was with VA-115 Arabs on the Midway in 1972-73. More likely, he was on the Kitty during that timeframe. (I'm too lazy to look up that airwing/squadron.)

I have an old Midway '72-73 cruise book with VA-115 guys pictured. But while some pictured look familiar, they all look different today and a lot older than me. :D

Correct me if I am wrong, A4s. Ha! :D

Here they are when they were younger. (Unfortunately, not all made it.)

Matson, VanSickle, Horsley, McCormick of course and Clark too, Walsh, Carmichael, McMahon, Keegan, Witowski, Newton ... and there's one (Maroon - sp?) in the current pix, too.

Black Lions -- good sticks; good men.

Inquiring minds want to know: whatever happened to the Varks -- active from '45-'93 ... i.e., -213's sister squadron for soooooooooooo many years in the Air Wing ???

I know it's 'gone' ... but 'why' did they 'die' w/ the switch from "F to FA" when the Black Lions ('55 - present) 'made it' ... ???

We weren't flying TARPS capable birds either, that's what made us go away and 213 able to survive...

There was also that whole USN/USAF joint engine thing too, the F100 I think? It was supposed to be for the Tomcat and Eagle? I also remember reading once how Gen. Chappie James wanted the F-14 as an interceptor for Air Defense Command.

HJ, those videos suck! No disrespect but my God that pisses me off. I would love nothing more than to have one of our former Tomcat drivers flying the Rhino splash one of the grease ball looking crews flying our airplanes! Those have to be what, bloc 30's? No IRST or TCS. How the hell does the AWG-9 still work? Mr. Grumman himself should be rolling in his grave! Plus, because of them how many of our F-14's had to be DRMO'd? Every Tomcat book out there now has to show them being torn apart so the freak'n Iranians can't update theirs. I had to vent, I miss my airplane.

I was 2! But I think my Skipper some 18 years later, Jr Davis might be in that pic, 4th from the right in the back row? How many Mig killers are there in the pic?
