I'm going that the Marine got Flight E to build him a sweet helmet cover.Yeah, but either some Devil Dog got the super-slick tigerstripes on his helmet, or that's not a Marine in the left seat.
Thanks for the letters. But we were almost "too busy" to read our mail. And we delivered the mail to you... IIRC, that would have been 1976 around the end of the year. VR-21 sent us in a C-118, Subic - Darwin - Sydney - Hobart. Long ass flight, crazy libs in Sydney, and the dang bridge across the bay in Hobart was out so it was a 2 hour ride into Hobart. Seriously cut into our liberty time as it was a RO1N...:icon_rage
Went back to Subic with NO RON's... :icon_rage:icon_rage:icon_rage
Hope you enjoyed yer letter...![]()

To my knowledge, we only send F/A-18 guys and Air Support Controllers to Australia.
The former HS Wing Commander from Jax flew helos on exchange back in the day. We worked together in DC area and it only came up because Embassy would host something called "prayers" for their staff and invitees. He'd always get invited and head on down to Embassy Row where Australia beer and wine was in ample supply.
