What NRC considers competitive

How competitive am I for SNA? I have heard horror stories of people not getting SNA when they have really good packages recently.

ASTB: 8/9/9
GPA: 3.15
Major: Biology
Aptitude: Out of 8 MIDN, I am ranked either 1 or 2
PRT: 300

I'm really worried about being a tier 2 major with a 3.15 GPA. I am being told that is sub-draft range. Is that true?

Your best bet is to talk to your advisor as that person would have the best info for midshipmen and SNA.

Talk to your advisor and senior peers who got selected. Tons of resources at your disposal.

I think I'm fairly competitive, but I wanted to see if I'm missing anything.
ASTB 7/8/8, OAR 55
GPA 3.87, BSc in Public Health.
9 years AD Enlisted (HM1, age 28). Currently am the LPO for an infantry battalion, previous leadership billets progressing up to now.
LORs from previous BN Surgeon (now LCdr), a Naval Aviator (Cdr) and an Army General Officer from my last command.
Last PRT - Good Low. The last two before were both excellent, but I slipped down a category.
NAMI waiver (ADHD) is approved and current.

If you have no non-medical waivers you should be able to apply for ISPP and bypass the board process.

That would be nice, but I don't think ISPP will work for me due to the required flag endorsement. I kind of left off with it being a non starter since my CO does not have any admirals in his chain of command.

Does the ADHD waiver not count as a non medical waiver for you?

It's definitely a medical waiver. One stipulation with ISPP is getting a Navy O-8 to endorse your package. Because I'm in a Marine Corps unit as a Sailor it's not really an option to get the Navy flag endorsement. There might be a technical workaround with the medical officer of the Marine Corps who is a two star, but she's really not in my CO's chain of command either (service vs operational CoCs). I think it'll be easy enough to get accepted with a regular quota though through OCS with my ASTB scores and career history.

So I did pretty poorly on the OAR yesterday (historically a poor performer on standardized tests). Wondering if I should take it again. I’m looking to apply to supply corps for December ‘24 board.

Age: 28F
OAR: 45
Bachelors: BS Biological Sciences
GPA: 3.7
Masters: MS Marine Science
GPA 3.24
Former DI competitive gymnast and professional coach.
I’ll be getting LoRs from my former college head coach/boss, former assistant coach, and maybe a former enlisted marine friend or current E5 army sergeant.

I was also planning on applying for the Jan supply board, but have heard from my recruiter that the supply board wont open again after the next board until June next year, which is why I have started looking at other designators. Can you maybe check with your recruiter about this, to make sure they are still meeting for the board you want to apply to.

Your GPAs are great. Have you considered applying for METOC?

Consider putting 2nd and 3rd choices in the IWC on your application.

They have Boards scheduled, at least that is what is posted. I am planning on submitting my package for the January board.
