Just saw the Blues perform here in Oregon last Saturday-- always a good time! Here's another rad one from a practice run in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii:https://www.facebook.com/USNavyBlueAngels/videos/1168101542527/
Hopefully you don't need to be logged in to Facebook to view– wasn't sure how to embed the video– but the perspective of this maneuver is amazing. I know it's old and there's other Double Farvel videos out there, but this is far and away my favorite.
Don't go blaming this thread because you decided to become a dirty hinge!I forgot all about this thread! It motivated me way back in 2006 ... Now 11 years and 7 PCS moves later, I'm on my way to a fleet DH tour...
Some really fantastic people posted in this thread.I forgot all about this thread! It motivated me way back in 2006 when I was med down recovering from shoulder surgery. Now 11 years and 7 PCS moves later, I'm on my way to a fleet DH tour in a Rhino squadron, having managed to stay in the cockpit the entire time and fly numerous types of aircraft along the way. It's been a hell of a ride, and it's not over yet.
Stay with it, new guys. Despite rumors to the contrary, there still are good times to be had in Naval Aviation. It's not easy, but it's worth it.
Why, thank you! Some really fantastic people posted in this thread.
