This dude started popping up on my various feeds. He frequently appears in public wearing Naval Aviator wings on lapel.
He touts himself as a former "Marine gunship pilot" and a "Vietnam Veteran".
What's the real story here? He seems a bit questionable.

I'm even more fascinated by what pivotal role he claims to have played in the development of the F-35, since he left active duty 18 years ago. Probably the JPO wanted to hear from the #1 dogfighter in the Marines.
