Only posting to make someone out there feel better about themselves😁. 53 6/6/7 2.0 gpa BA in a humanities field (yeah I know). Recruiter has been very nice, seems to think I have a good shot at SNA. Package is getting submitted soon, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. We'll see in September!

My buddy in Corpus has a History Master’s, degrees don’t matter once the training starts 😉

Aviation used to publicly put out 2.3 was the minimum, since it is no longer published it gives them flexibility, however I never personally seen a person get picked up with a GPA like that and don't think I have seen a person on this site with one that low.

Maybe you could be the first?

Alright gonna throw this at you all and see what you think. Got an OAR score of 54 and 6/6/6 on the ASTB. Got a 2.83 GPA in aviation management and graduated and got my private pilot license with about 120 hrs in the plane. Applying for SNA/SNFO. You all think I have a good chance of getting picked up for either? Recruiter is confident about SNFO but says a toss up for pilot.
Sorry to bring this up again, but I had some time to review the historical data in the Google Sheet. Over the past year, each of the 6 applicants with a 6/6/6 or lower (but no lower than 4/4/4) and a GPA below 3.0 who listed SNFO alone or SNA/SNFO was selected as an SNFO.

In contrast, among the three applicants with similar scores who listed only SNA, two were selected and one was not. The one who wasn't selected had a 48 ASTB, 4/5/5, and a 2.67 GPA.

If I were in your shoes, I’d personally only list SNA, but ultimately that’s your call. There are a lot of variables at play, but based on the data, it seems likely that if you list SNA/SNFO, you'll be selected for SNFO.

Also, I'm not trying to knock SNFO, it looks like an amazing job and is absolutely my second choice of any job in the Navy. I have just always dreamed of being the one behind the controls.

The most conclusive gouge points to PFAR being the primary factor in getting selected for SNA, as it's an indicator of how likely you are to start and finish training. People who have been on the recruiting side can further elaborate.

I have friends in all stages of training with an assortment of degrees, GPAs, flight experience, etc.
This gives me hope, i have a 3.0 gpa 46/6/9/7 and have been worried dead about my AQR score going up for SNA BDCP

Hey guys maybe this is a stupid question, but I see the term "at boards" on the excel sheet. Can anyone elaborate on what it means? Aren't we all technically at boards for this upcoming one? We've all been submitted so Im just curious.
Thanks.

When the board convenes and looks at your packet you'll be "at board". Since the I-SEL's get looked at every few weeks or so, they are technically "at board" whenever they get notification that their packet is being reviewed.

There will be a list that comes out about a week prior to the board. This “at board” list has the names of applicants that are being reviewed at that board.

I submitted all my stuff a few weeks prior to the May board deadline, but Processing sent them back to my recruiter to make some edits. So even though my stuff was submitted, I didn’t end up being at board.

Where is your recruiting station? My ISEL for supply has been submitted for 2 months and have not heard anything yet. I went to the Great Lake MEPS.
Sorry for the late response, but I went to San Jose MEPS; it's all cleared up now though with the delays. I would recommend checking in somehow with your recruiter either calling or straight up going to the office if you can... though, I've heard supply I-Sel packets move slower than say NUPOC or SNA but don't take my word for it.

Putting this out here in case someone gets in the same situation as me: any amount of weed usage IS disqualifying for I-Select (SNA in my case), even if it was a one-off thing in a legal state and requires no waiver. Good news is you get send straight to the next regular board right after without needing any additional input from you or your recruiter it seems and you are automatically "at board"? Speaking of which, just got off the phone with my recruiter and it is confirmed (according to him at least) that the September board is 100% going to happen and I would hear back by the end of September!

Anyways, here are my stats:

-3.02 GPA Linguistics Major with Specialization in Computing (The Navy calculates your cumulative differently if you had pass/no pass classes which I did so I had less than on my official transcript.)
-59 OAR 8/8/7 61 LPSS
-PPL ~175 Hours
-23
-No Rec Letters since was going I-Sel originally but I heard it's not really looked at for SNA anyways

Hoping my I-Select scores will help, plus I am already cleared for basically everything else at this point after being in the process for so long... Here's hoping, and wish everyone else good luck!

very similar boat as you. Almost identical scores except my lpss was 62 I believe. Still waiting for my next medical exam so I’ll miss this board it seems but still good to know about the DQ for I-SEL. Unfortunate but is it what it is

I went and checked on the spreadsheet and what a coincidence on the near identical scores haha. And unfortunate indeed, but that's just a side effect of college in California for a lot of people especially recently... And sorry to hear that you have to wait until the next board again, medicals can be a pain for sure, I've been in the process for nearly a year now and half of that was medical clearance since I had to get PRK.
