15 SEP2025 SNA/SNFO BOARD

I went and checked on the spreadsheet and what a coincidence on the near identical scores haha. And unfortunate indeed, but that's just a side effect of college in California for a lot of people especially recently... And sorry to hear that you have to wait until the next board again, medicals can be a pain for sure, I've been in the process for nearly a year now and half of that was medical clearance since I had to get PRK.
Respect the patience hope it works out for you, definitely solid scores!

Thank you and you too! Also, if you are waiting for the next board anyways, you might have time to get some easy weekend free community college classes in to get a free boost to the GPA; I had to take a half-semester to boost my Navy calculated GPA (the whole pass/no pass class thing during/after COVID) up to a 3.0 to qualify for I-Sel before I found out about the DQ.

Thanks! My gpa was a 3.4 actually so thankfully I’m good there. Just keeping my fingers crossed I can get the waivers needed. Based on your first comment sounds like if I got them soon enough I may still qualify in time for the September board due to the ASTB scores?

If it's nothing major I heard waiver policies are actually quite lenient! Though I'm not too sure if you'd make the September board if you are unable to have your packet submitted by 8/15 which is the NRC application due date for this board... I'm also uncertain if getting sent from I-Select after the NRC due date will put you in the September board or the one after; you'd have to check with your recruiter for official confirmation.

Does anyone happen to know what the next board date after this one will be? I was supposed to submit ISEL but now that I’m hearing past marijuana usage is a DQ I guess that won’t happen and I doubt I’ll have my package ready in time for this board.

Submit it through I-Select anyways if your recruiter lets you (which they most likely will since they think it's Non-DQ) because regardless of regular board or I-Sel you'd have to go through the processors which can be delayed so the sooner you have it submitted the better; plus you will automatically be sent to the next regular board regardless if you DQ from I-Sel due to no-waiver minor weed usage so it's simply faster than waiting to apply to the next board if you know you are going to be DQ from I-Sel!

How long did everything take to process just out of curiosity?

I-Select wise I submitted it through my recruiter to the processor like back in 6/20 but then the processors had a whole delay thing going on at my recruiting station (different for every station it seems some does it quick and some takes a while) so I had to wait until basically today after my recruiter got back from leave to hear that I got submitted to the board after DQing from I-Sel; I honestly think it just varies from person to person and station to station so the best bet is to always get things done ASAP because something always gets in the way a couple times before smooth sailing. But before I submit my I-Sel I was waiting for grades to come in, had PRK, waited for medical, and between all that and some other stuff it took around 7 months for me to get to the point where I submit my packet.

Hey guys! I’m hopefully putting my package in for this upcoming board. I’m applying for SNA/ NFO. I just talked to my recruiter though and he said to give me a heads up everything is super backed up which I’d heard before. But he said it could be up to a year before I hear back. I assumed that meant if I apply and get selected it could be a year before going to OCS. But now that I’ve thought about it more I’m unsure if he means hear back about getting selected or not. It shouldn’t take a year to hear about getting selected or not right? Sorry I would just ask him to confirm but he is a very slow responder haha. Thanks!!

I think you might have confused board results timeline with OCS ship date timeline.

Yeah I'm sure they're gonna let evrybody know who was selected or not, because the purpose of the board is to meet the FY2026 quotas which is just around the corner.
