Call the other recruiter, see what he says.
Sounds like your recruiter put you on the back burner when he told you that you were not selected and to try again after you finish school. If you’re still trying for the BDCP program, might be worth looking into the other recruiter.need some advice from y'all...ever since I got non-select for BDCP 2 weeks ago, I have been trying to contact my recruiter to schedule my second attempt of the ASTB with no response. Texts, emails, and calls but I get absolutely nothing back. Do I keep trying or just go to the other officer recruiter in town? I sent my current one a text earlier this week saying if I don't get a reply back in the next few days I will start working with another recruiter.
I agree, that seems like the situation I am in. I haven't decided if I am going to try for BDCP again, but I am going to take the ASTB again to try to get I-SEL scores. I just barely missed out the first time with a 6/8/7. I can't retake the test if my recruiter is literally ghosting me.Sounds like your recruiter put you on the back burner when he told you that you were not selected and to try again after you finish school. Frustrating not hearing anything back. Best of luck.
If you can go ISEL just go ISEL. BDCP is great and all but, you may not be qualified for pilot. This is something you wont even know until you get to OCS. If you are BDCP they will make you switch designators, if not you can just go home. Keep this in mind.I agree, that seems like the situation I am in. Thanks for your insight, if i get ISEL scores I will likely be going ISEL.If you can go ISEL just go ISEL. BDCP is great and all but, you may not be qualified for pilot. Yea sorry you gotta deal with that man, can’t hurt to talk to another recruiter I feel like. Thanks for your insight, if i get ISEL scores I will likely be going ISEL.
Do what you gotta do it’s your life/career, make moves for yourself. There’s being courteous but then there’s allowing people to get in your way of getting what you want. Thanks for your insight, if i get ISEL scores I will likely be going ISEL.
I agree. There’s been a couple times where he’s gone AWOL and I just waited it out aka ‘bring courteous’ but I’m done with the games.Do what you gotta do it’s your life/career, make moves for yourself. Hi everyone. Long time lurker but have been out of the loop for while. What's the estimated time between being selected for sna and actually shipping to OCS these days?
I started the process in Fall 2024, just got selected Wednesday. I go to OCS in August. So in my case almost a year total. But I think if you are ISEL and are finished your degree you can go very soon once selected.Hi everyone. Long time lurker but have been out of the loop for while. Just wanted to add on to this, I was originally told August as well but just heard from my recruiter that I might be getting put into a march OCS class so there's always the chance it winds up being way less. About a month in my case if this ends up being official.I started the process in Fall 2024, just got selected Wednesday. I go to OCS in August. So in my case almost a year total. Gotcha, thanks for the heads up. I’m flexible at this point, but I don’t finish my last course until early April and I don’t think my degree “validates” until June.Just wanted to add on to this, I was originally told August as well but just heard from my recruiter that I might be getting put into a march OCS class so there's always the chance it winds up being way less.
