04NOV24 SNA/NFO Board

Glad I found this forum for the upcoming board. I heard from my recruiter as well with the supposed capped slots rumors. She says in the past, there have been supposed exceptions, which obviously include getting the immediate selection scores and not having waivers but also with who your LOR are. I have a former Marine One pilot who retired as a Colonel and an AD Rear Admiral and she said she was going to see if LOR could be looked at as preference if the rumors are true that they aren't accepting any SNA slots
Until they update the board schedule it is all just rumors.

In the past there were no exceptions and especially not ISEL as that program is less than a year old, this would be the first pause with ISEL in effect.

Does anyone know what happens when you apply for a board and there are no slots? I am planning on applying to the Jan board for SNA. If you apply and there are not enough slots does your package just get rolled to the next board? Thank you! Also does anyone have any advice for your recruiter not responding? I am trying to schedule my ASTB.

The answer is it depends, sometimes they won't let anyone apply and return applications to the recruiting district, if it is only a few month delay they have been known to roll them to the next board.

Personally, with my recruiter, I'll double and even triple text her for every day she doesn't respond. I'm not sure how your recruiter is, but when I first met mine, she gave me her contact info and all that good stuff. Below, she noted that I am not her only applicant and is constantly receiving messages from other candidates, so she said that if she doesn't reply within 24 hours, I should double text or call her to ensure she is responding back. So to answer your question I would recommend calling them or double texting to ensure that they are receiving your messages and you aren't being ignored.

Thanks for the advice

I applied as well as a fleet applicant. I talked to Mr. Celestin today and he couldn't answer towards the status of FY25 SNA quotas, other than fleet applicants have their own quotas or are at least selected separately (not sure if he thought I was only talking about ISPP). We'll see if I make it into the 04 NOV proboard. I wasn't planning on applying until the January one but I manged to finish my package sooner than anticipated, albeit a week late for the fleet applicant deadline. I'm hoping I can get in on this one, or just get through ISEL. Fingers crossed!

Did Mr. Celestine reply to your package yet? Been a couple weeks for me with no response.

No, not yet. I sent mine in on the 27th though. I just called him to ask some questions. I was in a rush to get everything out before helene hit (I'm stationed in NC), and embarrassingly page 31 ended up where page 32 was supposed to be and vise versa, so I called about that and to inquire about the rumors.

He cannot answer questions about quotas as that is not his place, while he plays a very vital role for applicants he is basically the lowest person in the process for officer applications.

The spots for OCS are in one bucket no matter who the applicants are, ISPP takes precedence which means those applicants will essentially get first pick as long as quotas exist per the PA.

Once he replies that he has received your application let the process work, he doesn't have time to answer many questions at all and most of the standard questions he gets will result in the typical canned answer. Example is when he gets asked how long for results, he will say 2-10 weeks and that has been his answer for years.

Well,

My MEPs physical expired so looks like I’m gonna miss my 3rd board in a row lol
Anybody hear any new news about this board taking applications or not?

Sounds like everyone is on a different page at this point lol. I was told last week by my OR that this upcoming board was confirmed the final SNA/NFO board for the fiscal year. Have also seen ex-recruiter say on here that nothing is set in stone until an updated board schedule is released.
