1,001 questions about the ASTB (post your scores & ask your questions here!)

What exactly does that mean? Three different question banks?
It just means the first time you might get asked parts of a ship the first attempt. The second attempt my ask you parts of a plane. Both items which all study guides have you study.

On the section of the PBM, does anyone remember if the test makes a sound for each malfunction, or do I have to look for a text at the bottom saying "Fire", "Engine Fail" etc.

Any help is appreciated!!

I have read so many questions on this forum and learned a lot from y'all so thank you very much to everyone, especially those of yall that answer a ton of the questions asked. Just took it and got my score 59 6/7/7. Im still trying to decide whether or not to wait until the November Aviation boards or which would probably mean I don't see OCS for close to two years or if I just say fuck it and go with Intel or SWO.

Just took the test and got a 7 7 6 on 1st attempt. I’m a Mechanical Engineer major and have a 3.3 GPA. I want to be a pilot and I only studied two days before the test so should I retake it with more studying?

Hi! May you please share with me what question types are on the Mechanical section of the ASTB? Where do you recommend I go to study these types of questions?

Are people really waiting close to two years just to ship to OCS?

I remember seeing a problem in the Barron's ASTB book about the probability of getting x number of boys out of y number of children. Other than that, I can't remember any others.
Was the Barron's book the only thing you used to study? I have an older Barron's book, but I'm looking into buying a newer version and I'm going to take your advice of "Start studying yesterday!" to heart!
