how do you guys recommend I study for the mechanical section for someone that never took a physics class. I am taking my second ASTB in 5 weeks to try to get my AQR from a 6 -> 7. All the gouge sources I have been studying are basically reviews but I cannot review something I never learned.
Maybe you've already checked out this drive but there a mechanical guide part 1 and 2 (use the pdf version, the word version is all over the place). I'd use that to understand the concepts and also check out the practice exams to apply the concepts. Long story short, I took AP Physics in HS, did eh in the class. However, so far the mechanical guide part 1 and 2 have been helping me understand the concepts better.

Hey everyone I qualified for immediate selection for pilot on my ASTB assuming I don't have any medical waivers. I talked to my recruiter and asked him if I don't get selected for pilot at the May board would retaking the ASTB for a higher score help me and he didn't seem to think so. He mentioned something about how they "already have a spot for you" or something in those regards. I believe possibly retaking the ASTB for higher scores would help on my next application. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

I’m confused. Why would you retake the ASTB if you meet the IMMEDIATE SELECTION requirements? I-SEL applicants skip the whole board process. If you retake, you are practically gambling your selection chances for no reason.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask.
I passed the ASTB with a 54 7/8/7.
My CCGPA for my bachelors degree was a 3.28.
My associates degree was a 2.08.
I have passed my MEPS.

Should I be worried about the associates degree CCGPA affecting my I-SEL qualifications?

Did you go to multiple universities, as in did you get your associates degree at a local college and then transfer to get your bachelors?

I think they calculate your total gpa from any college courses so yes I think it will effect your overall gpa.

Every grade from every college that you have attended will count towards your cumulative GPA, including any Pass that you have (No Pass won’t count).
