I had an associate degree at a local college then transferred to a university to get my bachelors.
They are going to take your overall cumulative gpa from both colleges. You can use an online website that will allow you to calculate what your cumulative gpa is and whether or not you still meet the 3.0 requirement.

I’m confused. Why would you retake the ASTB if you meet the IMMEDIATE SELECTION requirements? I-SEL applicants skip the whole board process. If you retake, you are practically gambling your selection chances for no reason.
Because isn't there still a chance you don't get a pilot slot even though you qualify for ISEL. At least that's what my recruiter is telling me.

no. There are different requirements for SNA and SNFO ISEL.

SNA - 7/7/7 | 3.0 GPA
SNFO - 6/6/6 | 3.0 GPA

No non-med waivers for both. If you meet those requirements, you get selected.

So medical waivers don’t disqualify you from I-SEL? The document says “not require waivers or exceptions to policy” so I interpreted this as waivers as a whole?

I am currently a sophomore Marine Option in an NROTC Unit. I just took the ASTB today and scored a 6/9/7. I have a 3.91 GPA and a 290 PFT. What are my chances of picking up a flight contract if I submit it to this upcoming board?

From what I have seen and heard from an OSO, you have a high chance since Marines only need a 4/6, and your PFT is excellent.

As someone already responded, the board doesn’t see medical info so they would have no way of knowing wether you have med waivers or not

The waivers they are talking about are GPA, ASTB, moral waivers

I'm signing up for the ASTB soon and I've been using the ASTB App on Mac and TBAS Study Pro on Steam. For those that used the TBAS study pro what scores did you get on the Navy Assessment portion and what scores did that lead to on the actual ASTB?

Hey guys! I am thoroughly enjoying all the content on this forum, and it has been a huge help in my ASTB Prep. I am going for my first attempt at the ASTB next Friday (2/14/25).

For studying I have mainly been utilizing @TwoScoops App, as well as Kyle's Drive and the Gomez drive. All of these resources have been a huge help! Couldn't thank this forum and those particular individuals enough for the resources!

I tend to get stress anxiety pretty bad, and am wondering if I am over-preparing (although that may not be a bad thing), and am wondering if I could get some peace of mind for the upcoming test based on my performance with these resources.

Background: 3.7 GPA, Professional Flight Major, Purdue University. Applying for SNA, shooting for 50+ OAR and 7/7/7 ASTB

For all of the OAR portion tests I am consistently scoring 95% correct or higher.

For PBT's I am consistently scoring 18-20/20 for the terrain identifications, consistent 90%-100% for UAV (averaging around 1.7 Seconds), and consistent 30% for the Single target simulator, (emergency response is around 2 Seconds, 100% accuracy; (during the target simulator) DLT scores are 85-90% @ .5 second intervals).

I will obviously continue to study, but am wondering how people have been scoring on these apps prior to taking the test, and how well I could maybe expect to do based on these scores within the ASTB Prep app.

I know it's not a direct predictor of how well I will do on the actual test, but am wondering if these scores are a predictor on how well I am prepared to take the test; or if I should consider rescheduling the ASTB to a later date. Thanks in advance for the help, support, and response!

I'm not going to get into the numbers, because it's changed since I've taken it. But you're over thinking it imo. It blew my mind finding out other SNA's went into the astb blind, so comparing that to your prep and looking at your numbers, you'll be fine. Don't reschedule, just take it and you can always retake if you want to improve.

More importantly I'd say focus on fixing your test anxiety. Ocs, NIFE, Primary and advanced have about 30 tests altogether (rough guess, not doing the math). Not to mention checkrides, and being graded on every single event is essentially like having 1-3 tests per day. You are going to struggle in ocs and beyond if you are over thinking every graded event.

Thanks for your reply!
I will keep that all in mind; I have dealt with multiple check rides before, I think my issue with anxiety and this test in particular is I have a rough idea of what will be on there, but from what I am hearing it differs and varies from person to person. I am confident after the ASTB the test anxiety will wash away.
Have a great day!

can you specify what the TwoScoops app is. I have looked it up on the app store however nothing remotely close shows up. Can you reference where to find this resource, thanks?

Two Scoops is the user on this forum who created the app (from my understanding). The App is called ASTB Prep, it is available on the apple App Store; It has a white background and a shoulder board as the app icon. Hope this helps!

Ah alright. I recently purchased the app since there's a portion called "Terrain assoication" that you can only study using the app. I was unfamiliar with the acutal creator of the ASTB Prep app. Thankyou for clarifying and best of luck to your test!
