Honestly with the boards I haven’t found anything out with mine contract others if you are having problems with yours, now they can’t look up your info but give you info on upcoming boards. What happens to your test score and basically your whole packet if it gets cancelled? Do you just apply it to the next board? Also do they “cancel” boards if they are in no need of more SNAs? Also, my recruiter gave me an email a month ago, and never ever mentioned a July Board. Just said that the next deadline is Aug-15.
Boards can & do get canceled often-ish. If you miss the board or it gets cancelled you just roll into the next board, it’s stays “submitted” bc it wasn’t reviewed.Honestly with the boards I haven’t found anything out with mine contract others if you are having problems with yours, now they can’t look up your info but give you info on upcoming boards.
BDCP what is that ?Hey everyone, getting this thread going so you can ask questions, include your info/ASTB scores, and get to know each other before this upcoming board. It appears the July board was cancelled, so this one should be next.
I made a new spreadsheet in the doc, so please fill out your stats here if you'll be submitting for this board: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...8z9uxRA8i0/edit?gid=1793562768#gid=1793562768.
This is the most recent board schedule (updated 06 June 2025): https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Portals/55/Career/CareerCounseling/FY26-BOARD-SCHEDULE---N31-OFFICER-PROGRAMS.xlsx?ver=__U68sPtXQ-3BCapXfupjA==

Hello everyone, i recently connected with both an Army Colonel and a Navy Captain who told me that as long as I write up a letter of recommendation, they will sign it off for me. The problem is, i dont know what the contents of a letter of recommendation would be. Could anyone point me to an example of one or what it would look like?
You are going for aviation they won't read them so don't worry about spending time getting them.Hello everyone, i recently connected with both an Army Colonel and a Navy Captain who told me that as long as I write up a letter of recommendation, they will sign it off for me. Hey guys do you think having a Private Pilots Licenses helps with the board? From my experience with the Air Force it helps tremendously because they like to see you have put some skin in the game and know that you can fly in the civilian world. Anyone got any info on the naval side ?
I got mine during my last year of active duty. For me it was undeniable proof I could seek something and accomplish it. Later it would help me score higher on the ASTB and prove to my command I was serious (helping me achieve baller appraisals).Hey guys do you think having a Private Pilots Licenses helps with the board? It's essentially a write your own deal kind of letter. Look at your resume, pick things that stand out and would apply to the job you want, and tell the Colonel and Captain what you've accomplished. Keep it to three paragraphs (no need to write a whole essay). First paragraph should be about your accomplishments, second should be about a reflection about yourself and your traits, and finally close with the first two.Hello everyone, i recently connected with both an Army Colonel and a Navy Captain who told me that as long as I write up a letter of recommendation, they will sign it off for me. USAF likes it the USN doesn't care. In general those applicants I had who had some flight time did better on the ASTB.Hey guys do you think having a Private Pilots Licenses helps with the board? So essentially an 8+ on the PFAR is all they look at from what I've garnered and high gpa and/or PPL/flight hours is just a nice plus? And gpa wise as long as it's above a 3.00 they don't look into it too much right?USAF likes it the USN doesn't care. In general those applicants I had who had some flight time did better on the ASTB.
