Question as regarding to BDCP. Am I being put in a pool with other BDCP applicants to be selected out of?
Yes, i previously asked my recruiter this and our pool is different from the applicants going for an SNA OCS slot. Its a much smaller pool of just collegiate applicants.Question as regarding to BDCP. Am I being put in a pool with other BDCP applicants to be selected out of?
General consensus points to LOR and statements not even being looked at or consideredWhat are your scores? I just barely missed the cutoff too on my AQR. I heard motivational statements/LOR’s are used for tiebreakers between SNA applicants with similar scores though so i would definitely put emphasis on getting that right, now that weve taken the ASTB.
On the topic of BDCP. I’m kind of worried that my recruiter or processor won’t turn in my application in on time. I completed all the documents today and my recruiter told me that because my scores are immediate select I won’t have to worry about a board. I believe that even though my score puts me in I-SEL range I still need to submit an application to the BDCP board to be selected. So which one is correct? Also how long does it take for a processor to submit an application?Yes, i previously asked my recruiter this and our pool is different from the applicants going for an SNA OCS slot. Yeah idk what that is. I guess there is someone at the office who does all the processing for applications. I guess I’ll just have to wait for that “at board” notification 🙃My recruiter submitted my application on the 11th and just said that the board will convene on Sept 15 and to keep me posted. Is having a processor just for a BDCP thing? She never told me anything about there being a processor
My recruiter got me to meps last week and told me I’d be able to submit for this board but didn’t mention that it takes a few weeks to process so I won’t make the board either if that helps hahaIdek bro my recruiter never even put me in for meps before september board and now i gotta wait for next sna board, gotta love recruiters right

From what I understand in my case, Processors look over your package when it’s submitted and they basically “OK” it before the board. I submitted my package in mid-March and it was sent back about 3 weeks later with a few edits they wanted me to make to my paperwork. My recruiter got me to meps last week and told me I’d be able to submit for this board but didn’t mention that it takes a few weeks to process so I won’t make the board either if that helps haha
Did the board convene on June 2nd? Do we know when results will be announced? From what I understand in my case, Processors look over your package when it’s submitted and they basically “OK” it before the board. Emma, if your recruiter submitted your package already, I would check in with them tomorrow and Friday. When the above situation happened to me, I went in and made my edits in the recruiting office (roughly April 22nd), and they re-submitted my package the next morning. At the time, we weren’t sure if there would be a board on June 2nd, but if there was, the deadline was May 2nd. So, my recruiter had me check in with him May 1st/2nd, because he was able to pull up something on his end showing that Processing had approved the edits, and I was good to go.

Processors are civilian contractors in each recruiting office from my understanding that does an independent review of every single packet that comes through, be it regular board or immediate select so I'd assume the same for BDCP too. For reference, it took me maybe 6-8 weeks to get mine processed and uploaded upon the initial submission--which isn't to the board, but to the processors for review; I also had it sent back for a tweak about 2 weeks in. The major delay according to my recruiter was a big processor delay that went on for who knows how long but just be aware that it could happen for any station any time unfortunately; I've seen others on here comment that their's got processed and uploaded to the board in 2 days.My recruiter got me to meps last week and told me I’d be able to submit for this board but didn’t mention that it takes a few weeks to process so I won’t make the board either if that helps haha
No, the last board was in May. June and July were both on the schedule at one point (which can change at any time), and were both cancelled.Did the board convene on June 2nd? Do we know when results will be announced?
He couldn’t submit my package because he was saying that my medical hasn’t been processed since I just went to MEPS last Tuesday. And since it hasn’t been processed at all my package isn’t “board ready”. I don’t understand exactly how it all works but he said something like it hasn’t even been uploaded to review? My actual recruiter just went on leave on Monday also so this was the other recruiter in the office helping me and he was like I can maybe get your package ready for the next board sept 19th. I was like I’m confused how I just went from planning on submitting for this aug 15 deadline to maybe making the deadline for September. I figure at this point with the deadline being tomorrow it’s just too late for me and I’ll have to go for the next board. But thank you for your help I appreciate it!From what I understand in my case, Processors look over your package when it’s submitted and they basically “OK” it before the board.
