I may be mistaken here, but I believe I read a while back that for active duty and prior service, for each year they served NRC will knock off one year of age towards a program requirement such as age and TIS. Again, I may be confusing that with other programs.
I mean idk about one year per one year....that'd put someone who joined at say....24, who applied at 32, all the way to 40 yrs old....and you best believe they ain't picking a 40 yr old for flight school.....I do think they might be forgiving with the age requirement up to a point tho, given there's prior service, and good scores, gpa and what not

My son has RLP tomorrow
Little update for you all, he is allowed limited e-mail after 2 weeks (4 including ROM) some people still arriving out of shape, and not knowing about appendix B. ROM has come a long way, after a couple of days the class Chief was already working with them. So you are kept busy from the start. Not a lot of time for learning appendix B

I will be in the last ROM class. Kinda glad we get ROM honestly. Going to be good stuff!

ima rant here for a bit, cuz my gf hates when I talk about it, and my Russian dog only cares about food and walks.....

but how the fuck is it that people apply to OCS, and we have seen that its quite a lengthy process from calling your recruiter to showing up at Newport....and they don't start getting ready physically or mentally for it..... like....it's one thing to apply for BUDS and drop out, but in general, the Navy PRT standards are quite low (at least the passing score is). It seems that many ppl still see commissioning as an officer in the armed forces as...."the sure thing" job related. I know this chick who graduated with a biology degree, telling me that if she doesn't find a job, her last option is to commission as an Air Force officer (good fucking luck with that)....where I'm trying to get at is....yes, being a pilot, nfo, swo, whatever, is great, is badass....but we are all going into leadership roles, we are all supposed to set an example for enlisted people, and if we are really serious about it, then we all should start acting like it.

this is not directed to anyone in specific, but I do think is worth mentioning....aight I'm out, lmk when results come out....night ladies

My son agrees, said ROM was valuable and glad he had it. They did mock IST, and after sizing everyone up, he felt much better and happy he prepared. But…. I‘lol know more after RLP tomorrow. I was really surprised he has e-mail access

I agree it’s probably up to a certain extent, but hey, look at Tom Brady… he’s in his 40’s and just won another Super Bowl.

I hope results come out this week because I’m going camping for two weeks starting next week in WY/AZ/Utah and I won’t have much signal. Just gonna text him Sunday and let him know that if results are out and I don’t pick up his call, to just leave me a voicemail. ??

Hot take. Tom Brady is only good because if the pieces around him. Discuss.
I can’t stand Tom Brady having lived in Indianapolis as a colts fan…now I live in Tampa and still can’t stand him.
That being said…there’s no denying talent and good leadership. Tampa has sucked for 18 years and suddenly his arrogant ass comes to town and wins a super bowl. Have to give credit where it’s due.
Deflate gate will always prevent me from respecting him though lol
