Just got a call from the MAG Master Guns, for us it’ll be up to commander discretion for either the 18th off, or the following Monday. No idea how this would impact the recruiting command though.
Same, it was super weird at first but the good thing was they let me cut all the lines so I was done by 12When they sat us all in a room to debrief on what to do for the day, they asked if there were any officer applicants and I was the only one to raise my hand and everyone looked at me it was weird loool
My command will not be working tomorrow.Would be stoked if results drop tomorrow, but NAVADMIN 133/21 stated:
RMKS/ 1. POTUS signed a bill establishing Juneteenth as a federal holiday,
which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. IAW reference
(a), we will observe the holiday on Friday, 18 June 2021.
Not sure if anyone in the Navy will be working... no MARADMIN for us Marines though.

Game on!!!So what’s the plan, 200 pages by Monday?
I’ll take ospreys all day!! I believe NSS is referring to your overall class standings. ie: highest ranking student based on scores and performance will get first pick of WHAT IS AVAILABLE, while lowest gets what ever is left.Everyone should say what plane they want to fly or NFO (I don’t really know what NFO does). I’m hoping for f-35s myself but I honestly would be happy to fly anything. I’ve got a friend that flys helos and honestly she loves it so I wouldn’t complain about that either.
One question I have though on this though is apparently this is kinda determined by a NSS. Anyone know what goes into our NSS in flight school?

Pretty sure P-8’s or Tritons will be replacing the EP-3’sAs an aspiring SNFO the Growler is definitely on my list, but going WSO with the Superhornet sounds like a lot of fun as well. One thing I am curious about though is what plane is going to take over the job of the EP-3s? From my understanding, they'll be decommissioned in 2025 and the plane originally designed to replace them (EP-X) got cancelled back in 2010. Working in SIGINT would be a game changer for future career opportunities, post-retirement.
I would ask some of the recent people that have done their picks or a current IP, it does change now and then but one of the guys I put through said that when it came for him that they had broken it up so that "jets" just didn't go to those with the highest scores and that you may want "jets" and have a high score but to break things up you are sent helo's.I’ll take ospreys all day!! Just out of curiosity, what's the average length of everyone's motivational statement? Mine is sitting around 2000 words but I've seen posts of sub 500 word statements and some near 4500. I'm trying not to go overkill on mine as I know its one of the last deciding factors for the board, but I've rewritten and edited it more times than I can count trying to perfect it.
