25JAN21 PILOT/NFO BOARD

A god damn rollercoaster of topics and conversations since I've last checked in. I like it! lol

Well, my name wasn't listed on the at-board and I submitted on the 9th, and then on the 10th once I had some documents corrected. I reached out to the individual who post's the at-board list and even reached out to Mr. Celestin, the AD processor, and the response I got back was: even though I submitted on time before the NRC's deadline, which was the 11th of December, my application wasn't processed until the 16th. Applications have to be screened and approved/qualified before the NRC's deadline. This is probably why all the NRD's set their deadlines earlier. Oh well I suppose... However, there was some good in their responses. They said they did receive my application and that it will be seen for the next board, 24May2021. I do not have to resubmit anything, and that my application is in line for the next board. So, for those whose names aren't on the list, and aside from the glitches I read someone else post in here, perhaps your OR held your application purposely or they submitted it too late to be screened and deemed approved/qualifying before the NRC's deadline. I'm rooting for those whose names are on the at-board list and look forward to seeing you all in the fleet as Officers one day. Till then, I'm going to drive myself crazy wondering if I made board for Chief ?
Good luck ??

There is good info to take from this, those who submit through an OR have their application reviewed by several people before being sent to NRC so by then NRC just needs a quick scan to make sure all is in order, now for those fleet applicants who submit to the NRC processors directly they need to do a full QA review so the time spent at NRC before going to the PM and then the board is longer.

Yes! I got a quick response on the first day I submitted my application. Same day actually. When I resubmitted my application the next day, with corrections for my RANDOT testing, I didn’t receive feedback until days later, which put me past the NRC’s deadline unfortunately. It’s really dumb too, because my application got kicked back because my Medical put “PASS” for my RANDOT exam, when N36 (NRC) wanted an actual score, say 10/10 for example. But this is what the NRD’s are familiar with because they do this all the time, when navy Medical does this way less frequently. Submit early as possible is the take away

Same thing happened to me with the RANDOT testing! Actually the reason that I missed the deadline for this board and will be submitting on the next board lol

I was pretty upset that it got kicked back at all though, because it’s a “Pass”. Shouldn't matter the score. Such a petty thing to get kicked-backed for, but oh well. You live, you learn. It’s good to know that we are in line for the next board, so that’s something to be positive about

unfortunate for you that it does matter for different programs that is why a score is needed, the places that do these physicals on the regular basis know this, the medical you went to should have read up on commissioning physicals before they filled out the form.

Had the same issue with mine not being filled out all the way and the Flight Surgeon only commenting that I was qualified for flight status. Missed August due to this and I missed October for another admin hiccup. Keep grinding...

Blessed with this daily encouragement! NAS Pensacola and NAS Meridian utilize the airport I grew up by for training most days of the week. Hope to see it - hope we all see it - from their view sooner than later.

Yes!!! I am blessed with the daily encouragement too! I live in Pensacola so seeing them everyday (and the Blues when they are home) just makes me want to be up there that much more!

Im in the same boat, submitted on the 10th and then it got kicked back for corrections so my application wasn't approved until the 17th. Trash, they should let people know that they need to submit with enough time for them to check for corrections. I was under the assumption that the time from Dec 11th to jan 25th was the time to check for corrections. Whatever, I'll see you on the next thread. And fingers crossed for us both to make board for Chief even though I'll dump that for OCS lol

Haha, the test makes me feel like I’ll be taking it again next year if OCS isn’t in the cards this go.
