25JAN21 PILOT/NFO BOARD

Yep. And I'm worried, because I want to apply for this board too, but I don't think I can until we hear back.

Its looking like 6 weeks will be the new norm.
Don't know if you've gotten word yet on your board but for the Aug03 board we got results back 50 days later from the convene date, I was trying to make the Nov02 board just in case I wasn't picked up but didn't get results back in time in order to get my package together, which pushed me to this board. Best of luck to you.

Seems like I'm not the only one biting my nails about the upcoming board ha ha!

Paperwork is looking good on my end, just waiting for MEPS to get back to my recruiter and I with my updated medread. Had a close call with BP while doing my physical, but normal readings showed I'm well within normal range, and I have no history of high BP/hypertension. (If i'd known better, I would've recommended to my recruiter to do DODMERB instead ARRGH!)

Otherwise, feeling optimistic! Close to getting my PPL @ 55 hrs, just need to work with the crummy winter weather to get my last few flights in and get ready for the checkride. I also found out from my recruiter that I'm the only SNA/SNFO applicant he's working with that has actual flying time, so I'm crossing my fingers for that.

Best of luck, everyone!

Update for you all. My recruiter told me they considered closing the pilot boards early on December 1st. NFO would still be left open. They decided against it, and everything is still due on December 11th.
Could explain the confusion related to December 1st versus 11th that's been on this forum.
For me, Dec 1 was just the due date my recruiter said she needed everything to start processing and to fix any last minute issues that would be found at the RNC. Dec 11 was the due date that that RNC wanted everything in by. It was definitely a local thing that seems to be the norm across multiple other ORs.

If it helps you feel better even if you weren’t picked up resending the same exact packet wouldn’t have helped you anyway from what I’ve seen on here. The Board needs to see “significant changes to reconsider”. Also very much pulling for you because we have the exact same score 52- 6/7/6. Hoping you get that call bro!

@exNavyOffRec had a quick question....you mentioned before that of course, PFAR and FOFAR were the biggest factors as far as get selected for pilot and nfo respectively....what is the role of the AQR in the whole mix, since it is part of the ASTB? I saw in Navy Medicine that it weighs in on both designators.....is this accurate?
I never did see a good correlation between AQR and selection, that doesn't mean there isn't, and I really didn't look that hard.

He told me that on his end he thinks that the numbers for the fiscal year were reached, and that's why he thinks there might not be a board till summertime, but he really overemphasized the fact that CNRC is the one to make all of these decisions, not CNPC, and therefore the former one is the one to make the call of whether there is a board in January or not.....and yeah they are the ones to set the numbers of people coming in, he said that he does not know if more or less people are getting picked up or not, that's a question for CNRC
I don't like the term "backlog" since the spots that were not filled for FY 20 are lost, it is more that candidates were shifted filling FY 21 spots.

The hard numbers are not out yet, they should be in the next 8 weeks, realistically the numbers haven't changed much in the past 10 years, so they may or may not be using the projected hard numbers with all the craziness going on, only time will tell.

How long since you have been to MEPS? Once MEPS gets the info to your recruiter it could take a few days or a week for N3M to get the PQ letter to you. If I were you I would keep on your recruiter to keep on MEPS.

I will be missing this board and applying for the next one instead. I've removed my stats from the spreadsheet.

Good luck to you all! I'm rooting for you!
Ah me too! Soon as I see the next board date I will create the Forum and share the spreadsheet. NAMI didn't come back in time and My Officer over OCS won't setup interviews without that complete.

I was wondering something here since it was brought up on a different forum, but, does any of you have a concurrent officer application with another branch? I don't.....but was curious if any of you did

I started with applying to the coast guard, then started with the Navy. The only problem I ran into was the fact that both branches wanted my MEPS records at the same time. What ended up happening was they would transfer it back and forth. Also both my recruiters weren't happy to find out that I was not exclusive to one branch. they might say things, but it isn't illegal to apply to multiple branches.
