Had a pretty annoying hang up in submitting my package a month ago. I've never had a speeding ticket, but I did hit a light pole (totaled my car but at least I knocked that f'er over at least) last year when I overshot a turn at 10 mph while pulling out of a gas station... Unfortunately, I was charged with careless driving, which is considered a misdemeanor in the the State of Colorado; later it was plea bargained down to operating a unmovable vehicle. Any ways, it turned out to not be such a big deal because I had all the legal paper work including the original ticket and court receipt. Lesson here is, keep all that paper work.

That's an important lesson to keep through out your military career. Keep everything! Even if you think you don't need it. I can't tell you how many times it's saved my butt.

Is there a good way to check and make sure my package made it into the system? My recruiter assures me that all is ok but I have had very minimal contact with him through the whole process (twice in person, and loads of emails). Maybe I just need to relax and wait until December. :confused:

I remind myself of this on a nearly daily basis. I know the board dates, I know the schedule. I'm tapped into NavyOffRec's posts the moment they hit the forum. But I still have to resist the urge to email my recruiter with a "So....how's it hanging, buddy?" email.

And that is why I am so frustrated with my recruiter. EVERYTHING that was sent to the OR before June 2012 has been 'misplaced' or 'never received'. What's the deadline for packages for the December board?!

I certainly hope you are wrong. I have been pinging my recruiter since 1 October about submitting my package and it wasn't until 2 November that I was told about the 'missing' items. Would this be a legitimate complaint to take up the OR's chain of command? (after the package is sent to the board! lol)

remember most of the people here are talking about active duty, CEC reserve is rolling so the cutoff is when they call it, they don't put out an actual cutoff date most of the time.

Thank you again, NavyOffRec for calming me down. I tend to forget that this is a rolling board. Hopefully everything will be good to go after my meeting tomorrow afternoon!

Good luck to everyone who did get their package in on time for the December Pilot/NFO/etc boards! I'm excited for ya'll!
