DCO Supply Chances and Selections

Congrats to all that were selected! Now the real journey begins!

I applied, but haven't heard anything from my recruiter. I've called him a couple times, texted, and sent emails...no response. I just need a confirmation that I either made it or not, so I can begin whatever process is next. Is there a list available for applicants to view on their own? I didn't receive one of the Willy Wonka Golden Tickets in the mail, so I am guessing my next step is to apply again with a stronger package and try for the next cohort!

I'll search this board later, but any tips or suggestions for second time applicants?

Thanks!
Oh so is this official? If you didn’t get a letter in the mail, you didn’t get selected? My recruiter said that he hasn’t seen or heard official results yet. So I’m somewhat confused haha

I'm just going off of what this message board has mentioned. I'm thinking in time the source of truth will be shared with us all.

I just talked to my recruiter. He confirmed that I didn’t get selected. It was my first time applying.
According to him I got top score on the interview. From what I know, the interview score is what matters the most.
I work in finance as a senior analyst for the retail and manufacturing industries. I also have financial auditing experience. I am also a small business owner and an accountant by profession. I had 4 recommendation letters from past supervisors.

Any tips on how I can improve my package for next year? Anything that I can add to it?

Congrats to everyone who got in!

I would suggest you find and network with senior reserve supply corps officers. Similarly, while positive interview scores help, it is not the golden gun in terms of being an automatic pick.

Do you have 5-10+ years of supply corps experience outlined in the program authorization? Leadership experience?

Do you have your masters degree?

Any legal/drug issues?

For the work experience, I cannot tell you how many times applicants truly "pad" their resume or feel their the most qualified, when in fact they're not. Supply Corps is still fairly competitive and there's still an appetite for limited numbers.

I would suggest you take a holistic and open minded outlook in terms of feedback and what are your weak areas. Work on those and try to resubmit... if you want.

This was my second look. My first package was pretty weak relative to the second. Ping me if you’d like to discuss.

Thank you very much. I understand.

I don’t have 5-10 years of supply corps experience. I have 5-10 years of experience in financial analysis including procurement analysis, contacts, discounts, profitability and the regular budgeting and financial statement issuing that I do monthly.

I have masters, yes.

No legal issues.

I am open for all recommendations. I will look for such networks most definitely. I appreciate your time.

"Top score" depends on what a person feels is the top score, was the top score on the panel you went to 8 or was it 9 or 10? Maybe your recruiter feels top scores are anything 8 or above? You may have had top scores at the panel interview you had but if the other candidates received 10's that isn't going to help you.

What about the narrative? We would see people get 10's and then the narrative would say something like "This applicant could be a great addition" which effectively sinks the chances while "This candidate will be a great addition to my unit" is going to get noticed in a good way.

That makes sense. I understand. I didn’t ask the exact score and wasn’t aware of the narrative. And perhaps that’s where I was lacking. Which is okay.
I am creating a plan for myself for next year. So that I can turn in better package 🙌🙌 Thank you so much for the clarifications and tips. I appreciate it

They don’t score 1-10 anymore. Another change for ya! Lol
