Hard to make an educated guess when the causes aren’t yet known. It could be anything. So, I’ll counter your sequestration hypothesis with one of my own. I think all the recent mishaps were caused by bees.

It’s no more or less valid than the speculation you’re engaging in. I don’t disagree that the cumulative effects of sequestration could have an impact to our mishap rate, but to toss it out there at this point in the process, claiming it to be a causal factor, serves zero purpose.

Fair enough. Allow me to backpedal enough to say that my frustration is the cause for speculation, not malicious intent.

I made the mistake of looking (with one eye only!) at the comments in the Fox News article linked somewhere in this or the other mishap threads. Having done so, (and then spending a weekend away from news, reminding myself that there is joy in the world), I can see why @Joboy may feel this way. Sequestration and Obama (read: Obama) are at fault, 100%. According to some commenters, criminally so.
