Ok, hopefully this is a stupid question, but I am a little worried that my PRT score might prevent me from getting my FS letter. I was pro rec'd for SNA in the OCT boards, and I have everything in except my PRT. I'm not going to be probationary or anything but I'm anticipating scores in the satisfactory to good-low range. Should I be concerned ? Thanks.

The others know better than I do but for BDCP we would not get a FS without at LEAST a good-low.

Satisfactory is satisfactory in the fleet for your average sailor, but for pre-OCS PRTs the minimum is Good Low in all categories.

What fleet were you all in??? Anything under a Good-Low is considered failing and if you do that 3 times in under 3 years now, that's grounds for being kicked out.

ok so i just looked at the chart and just to make sure we are all on the same page, there is a probationary level, and then the satisfactory range, and then the good range correct? And in order to get my FS I need at least good-low in all 3 not just a combined good-low? Sorry I'm 99% sure on this I have just gotten a few different responses on here.....thanks (this question is starting to get embarassing, talking about how bad i suck)

Don't feel bad. I'll be sweating my PRT, too, if I'm lucky enough to have to take it.

When is this thing? If you can get time to improve, then maybe I can understand the question. If it's coming up in a few days, it doesn't matter... give 110% and you'll either get what you need or you won't, and you'll have to spend some time working on it.

im supposed to take it nov 30, im seriously like 2-5 push ups and curl ups from where i need to be so im not worried about that......my 1.5 mile time is at 15:30 so I have 9 days to shave off 2:40 (im 25 need a 12:53 for good-low) but my OR will let me reschedule if i need to, the only thing that sucks is I'm pro rec's SNA so obviously i want to get this done asap

What happens if you fail? Can you just make it up?

That's a lot of time to shave off! I think if I was desperate I could maybe shave off another minute by gutting out the pain and collapsing at the end of the run, but I'm not really sure how much more I could affect a run score in such a short window.

ya I know thats why Im stressing about it I think i can get into the 13's by running 7 of the 9 days i have but i dont see getting into the 12's I'll prob have to push it back 2 weeks

You know that there is an overall score, right? I don't know if you need to be in good-low for all three, but if not, you can pick up a few extra curl-ups/push-ups to buy some extra run time. Now that might not work. I should find that out. It probably won't, but here's hoping.
