The reason why I ask, is because it was primarily comprised of a female crew. Want to say that it was 3 of 4 were female. Plus it was a cool looking "patch"

Would Mayport be considered an advanced training station or fleet?

Mayport and NAS JAX have fleet HSL/HSM and HS squadrons respectively.

Mayport also has the SH-60B RAG (HSL).

To OH-58...I have considered the Army..but in all due respect I want to be an Officer. Having this title and the responsibility of it has always been my dream..

Update: Finished my BP readings today. Still a bit high, but the doc at MEPS said it is good to go. I was told I should have word hopefully next week. I am ready to hear!! Hope its a bit sooner than some of the recent final selectees. I am good to go as of 1 August. But I guess waiting untill october would just give me more time to PT.

I was originally scheduled for 14 Sept. I would perfer the sooner starting date, but oh well, 19 Oct gives me another month of making $$ at Gulfstream.

I will be leaving from CA. If I drive I will probably go Hwy 80 all the way and stop in Ohio to see some family and then in MD to see my younger brother and sister (my dad too if its late enough- hes on deployment until mid oct). I am also considering shipping my truck from CA to DC and just flying to my dads. Then driving up from there. With gas as expensive as it is (just under $4.70 for regular here) it looks like it may be cheaper to ship it. I have done the cross country thing a few times before so I know what its all about. Although, I could take more stuff with me if I drove and pulled a trailer (then left it at the parents') and picked it up on my way down to FL. Who knows, as its going I have quite a while to think about it.
