Hey congrats jt! I'm waiting on LOR's and then my package goes in. Hopefully it'll make the July boards, but that may not happen. i'll have to wait till August. Well good luck man! Good to here of your successful select!

That's kind of what I figured. My recruiter said the only way I could get it into the July boards was if they met later than the 15th. I think he's trying to give me hope. Ya, I definitely want to have the best package I can.

5 of us were sworn in for OCS, 1 (not pictured) was a direct commission as a Chaplain. Apparently 6 in one month is kinda a big deal (go OR!), some recruiting magazine - maybe some of you bubbas can help with naming it - was there for the photo op.

Yeah, I've had a bit of experience in the whole thing from when I was at Virginia Tech. These guys seemed pretty clueless as to what they were about to get into. I'm glad I found this website, and glad I spent a year in NROTC and military school.

Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes. I'll still be sticking around AirWarriors and chiming in with little gold nuggets of idiocy until then . I guess now I get to start nuking things like how Christmas break is going to work for me.

Those who have yet to final select - let me know your class dates, I'd like to get to know my teammates a little better between now and then.

Also, is October the beginning of fiscal year 09? The reason I'm asking is my class number - will it be 02-09? Thanks!

Nope...The new class numbers start over with the calendar year...You'll still be an '08 push...Good luck...from what I've personally seen, you're gonna need it!

Its Official

I just got finished swearing in and signing my life away. It was awesome, the Commodore (female) was there to participate. There was also a couple of recent Academy grads who were in my plebe class that were there. Now its for real. Im ready!

Last one is me and THE MAN. Those of you not local to the Bay Area in the process of applying are missing out. One hell of a recruiter. (Sorry its out of focus - I obviously wasnt taking the pictures.)
