I'm an IT and I work in Radio. I've been watching message traffic very closely for the past few days... so the minute I get the message I'll put it up on here for everyone.

*HOPEFULLY* my boss will get the results before they officially come out, they sometimes get them early... though that practice isn't as common lately for obvious reasons. But, like some of us, I have my whole life on hold for these results. I can't move my family if I don't make the program because I'll be deploying for 8 months in January, however, if I DO make the program, then I get to move them to my university's area.

Not to mention, I can't buy this beautiful car I want if I deploy either, lol. Well, I could but who wants to make 8 months worth of payments on a BMW that you can't drive ;)

If that happens I'll do my best to get that post deleted. This, like advancement results, should be something that an individual finds out from the CO. I am glad I found out from a CO who had a huge grin on his face when he told me, as opposed to checking some online forum and finding out from some nameless person.

Last year a radio guy got the results, because they came out late on the East coast time. Therefore, everyone had gone for the day. He said he had the results and if you wanted to know or not, to pm him your name and last 4 and he would check if your name was on the list and pm you back.

Don't be a tool and delete someone's post if they have the results and you "want to find out from your CO."

I wish I had had the same experience as you. Unfortunately, I found out from a source outside my command. When I went to work, I didn't say anything until about noon when I e-mailed my DivO to thank him for his help in getting me selected. No one knew about it until I mentioned it in the e-mail.

I only bring this up because there may be future selectees in commands that won't have the honor of being informed by their CO and this forum may be one of the few ways to get the results.

So I just logged onto www.npc.navy.mil and checked the navadmin messages. When I first pulled it up 281/08, 283/08 and 284/08 appeared, skipping 282/08. When I tried to pull it up again, 283 and 284 disappeared... hmm, could 282 be our message? Just a thought.

I called NPC

I called the NPC help desk and they said they have no clue what 282 is.....I thought the same thing you did.

I felt the same way. Still funny; it has been getting kind of crazy on the other thread.

well the missing NAVADMINs are back up.... but it wasn't ours. Though, it has to pretty close. The are annual NAVADMINs already released that came out after last years STA-21 NAVADMIN, so it's got to be pretty close.

Let's just hope they come out before the holiday weekend.

Fortunately, I was lurking this forum last year when the results came out, otherwise who knows when I would have found out. The next day I ran into the CO who was shocked when I told him the news... after he had asked when the results were supposed to be out. But that was a recruiting command. Like Flamedog said, AW may be one of the few ways for Sailors to get results.

Ummm, yeah that was me. I'm definitely NOT a radioman but I was in Pearl last year when they came out and was working late (i.e. after noon in HI). I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten anything out of having the CO shake my hand (had he not been on leave). So I have to side with those that have already said they'd rather know sooner than later. Same thing happened when I was selected Chief...some clown had the results up on Together we served before they hit any of the commands.
