Same here, I think their big push is the first NSI class. Are you in that one?

Neg, I'm set for May NSI. The Netfocus site says that I am assigned to Texas A&M already though
So my physical status is QUALIFIED and I am scheduled for the 1st NSI class. Hopefully my orders will be out soon so I can get all my stuff moved to the Norfolk area seeing as how I am going to Old Dominion University. If anyone has talked to Ed and found out when our orders should be out please let me know. Thanks.
Same here, thats the fastest turn around time ive ever seen in the navy. Im sure theyll make up for it by taking forever to cut orders. Anyone going to Embry Riddle?

I am going to Embry-Riddle. Only got a year left and that is where I went to school before joining the Navy. Major- Aeronautics. Pilot Select. My physical status still says "pending NOMI review" and it was received at their office on 30 DEC 09. Hopefully I will be qualified soon. Any thoughts about a possible timeline for NOMI?
NOMI turned around my flight phys in like a week and the only reason it took that long was that it was missing something but I got it to them in time. you might want to get with medical or Ed to make sure they didnt need anything else. Do you have any suggestions on good places to live around daytona? Hopefully i can get orders soon enought for me to take some house hunting Permissive TAD down there and look around.

What were you missing in your physical and how did you find out you were indeed missing something?
As far as Daytona goes, dont live at the beach. There is way too much going on all the time and you will probably get stuck in traffic getting to and from school. South Daytona and Holly Hill are places close to campus and are easy to get to and from. There are lots of places to choose from and at fairly decent rental amounts. Try to avoid International Speedway BLVD and the beach are my best reccommendations.
Hopefully my physical will be qualified tomorrow.....
For some reason they didnt get my eye exam. They notified me by sending an email to medical.

Davebomb25- thanks for the gouge on Daytona. I'm probably headed that way, too. My question is this (and it may sound stupid): Will I be able to move my family prior to reporting to NSI, or will we be given a certain amount of time afterwards? My wife's been on my case about it, and I just don't know for sure. My guess is afterwards, but if anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it.
My plan of action is upon reciept of orders to take some TAD house hunting leave down there find a place to move and probably move the wife down there after NSI. Ed said orders should be out mid march, you should have plenty of time to move before or after NSI. Fall semester at Embry doesnt start untill august 30th. I dont know if we have a report no later than date. As long as you have orders in hand you should be able to move when ever.
Does anyone know if they cut orders sooner than that for those of us coming from overseas? I need to have my vehicle shipped out at the beginning of March.
