I'm going to be going to University of Arizona, anybody plan on attending there? Additionally, has anybody from the May NSI class gotten their orders yet? Thanks.
Got a quick question about NSI, when you graduate NSI on the last friday, do they keep you over the weekend and detach you on the monday or do you detach on the day you graduate? also, how much time do they allow you for transfer from NSI to your college? Thanks a lot guys
When did you receive this welcome package? I don't think I got that one.
I dropped a 51-day leave multiple leave chit today... my command isn't too thrilled... anyone going to Maryland? I have been having huge problems getting a degree plan, to the point of get nasty hate grams from the student affairs director. I went through this same thing as an alternate last year and was quite reluctant to get it signed. So nice that these institutions care so much about active duty personnel.
Sorry to hear that the school is not military friendly. An alternative could be to go through the catalog yourself and make a degree plan that meets all the requirements in three years. The degree plan is subjected to change anyways because the university itself doesn't even know what courses will be offered each semester a year down the road. Once you get this degree plan done, just get one of the counselors to sign off on it. They will have very few excuses once you have done all their work for them.
I have a completed degree plan. I changed the dates and added one military prereq and sent it three times with different pleas to the SAME gentlemen that signed the SAME plan last year. He has refused on all three occasions and the last sentence on his final message read, "This will be the last response from our office on this matter.":icon_rage
I have one last idea and if it falls through this week, I will be at the University on Monday going from office to office with this plan in hand until I get a signature.
Concour. KU gave me the same grief, got a hold of an Academic advisor in the Engineering School (the chair of the Civil Engineering Dept) and he had no problems writing one. It changed later, but it was enough to get me orders. He is now my academic advisor.Wow, sounds like that dude is a real d***head. Do you really need the director of student affair to ok a degree plan? Usually an admissions officer, academic counselor, or departmental chair can ok it.
