Waives any FY2010 pay increases tied to increases in the General Schedule of Compensation for government employees. Increases by 3.4%, effective January 1, 2010, the rates of basic pay for military personnel.

I think that refers to just because GS's get a raise, doesn't mean we do. We have our own authority for pay raises independent of the rest of the federal governments pay raises.

Dont know if anyone noticed but the Navadmin 309/09 was released by VADM Ferguson, who released the STA results last year... the ADM is back in town.. results should be soon

(1) AUTHORITY- If the Secretary of Defense determines that the use of Commanders' Emergency Response Program funds to support the Afghanistan National Solidarity Program would enhance counterinsurgency operations or stability operations in Afghanistan, the Secretary of Defense may transfer funds, from amounts available for the Commanders' Emergency Response Program for fiscal year 2010, to the Secretary of State for purposes of supporting the Afghanistan National Solidarity Program.
(2) LIMITATION- The amount of funds transferrable under paragraph (1) may not exceed $50,000,000.

In short, if building roads and schools will help us in Afghanistan, we can spend $50 million to do it...

I believe there is also a section in this bill that states the secretary is authorized to spend up to 25 million dollars to replace F5 keys for all FY10 STA-21 applicants.

Here we are at 1450 posts. Only 550 more! At first I didn't think we'd make it. Now I'm thinking 2000 posts before the results is TOTALLY possible!

My prediction is for the 2nd week of November. Although my second prediction is for November 20th (due to all the hype surrounding the 20th).

im pretty sure at this point everyone is trying to make any legitimate connection to help results. * on the third thursday of every year divisible by 17.5 the results come out at 20:03 as long as the navadmin is above is 301.*

Is there anything that says the results HAVE to come out in Oct other than the website? Is it possible for them to come out in Nov? I know the results have come out on the 30th or 31st of Oct before so that leaves us a small chance of news this week. I'm not holding my breath...

i hope so i've gone through just about 4 thus far with who knows how many days left.

there was one year back in early 2000's that it came out on i think nov 4.
