Thats true, however we had a squadron reunion a couple of years ago at VT-27 where we received a briefing from CNATRA. It was said PTR for the entire training command was reduced to about 650. I believe that included the Marines and Coasties. It seems something has changed and I wonder if someone on these boards knows if PTR has been adjusted upward.

At the time we were briefed, the Navy had reduced its goals for producing pilots. Perhaps the goal has increased since and that accounts for seemingly aggressive recruiting and selection of SNAs.
