how long after the selection does flight physical takes place ?
The Doc's do the flight physical at OCS, not sure what week though. That's why it is called "NAMI Whammy", candidates go in PQ just to get NPQ'd by NAMI Flight Doc's.

False you have a flight physical at OCS but it's not NAMI. You have another flight physical in P'cola before API and that is where the NAMI Whammy happens. People have been NPQ'd for SNA at OCS switch to SNFO and sometimes get their SNA spot back after NAMI in P'cola. The Doc's do the flight physical at OCS, not sure what week though. I don't see a chance. You have be 29 by date of commission. You haven't been selected yet nor do you have a chance to get an OCS date that would allow you to graduate before or on Oct 7th. Sorry man.
Well then here’s the thing, why did NRD tell my Processor to keep SNA as option number one on my package? Was it to give me false hopes?
From the research that I've done about OCS with respect to SNA/SNFO I read somewhere that "age critical" applicants can obtain an age waiver. I don't know how true this is but it wouldn't hurt you to find out; ask your OR. Good luck!Well then here’s the thing, why did NRD tell my Processor to keep SNA as option number one on my package? This maybe true, maybe not... but I wouldn't put much stock in a fellow inexperienced wannabee's opinion on your selection chances. Listen to your OR & NavyOffRec, they are the pros, and are much better informed on the process.I don't see a chance. You have be 29 by date of commission. I don't think it was to give you false hope. Your OR expressed concern over the viability of SNA for you, but after talking to NRD decided to include it. You have zero chance of getting SNA if you don't apply, and I imagine your OR figured it was worth a try but you know it is slim. We can speculate all day, but in the end it's the board that decides. Good Luck!
Non prior it is commissioned before or on 27th bday. Prior service with age waiver up to 24 months is commissioned before or on 29th bday.
Mr. Spenz,
If you haven’t heard the term “sea lawyer” before, I suggest that you go look it up before you go on active duty.

Ok, I have a question that I need to put to rest. I’m going to turn 29, on October 7th of this year. My Processor was a bit reluctant to submit my package with SNA as my number one option. She frankly didn’t feel that I should include SNA because I’m, what she described being, “age critical” for SNA right now. But after she talked to NRD here in my home state, they told her to submit my package with the SNA option. Do you think I have a snowballs chance on getting picked up for SNA? I would take NFO, but love to be an aviator. Does anyone know what the regulations say about peeps in my situation? Is it 29, before commission? Any help would be appreciated.
