Quick question. For those of you who carry, can you bring it on base? I assume that you cannot but was curious anyways.

And if you cannot, what if you live on base?

I used to keep it in housing but I think they REALLY frown on it. At Andrews I think they required firearms be kept at the armory but I don't remember for sure.

Ask me about ninjas!
If you live in base housing aboard a Marine base, or you want to bring a personal weapon aboard base for something like the skeet range, etc., all you have to do is register your firearms with PMO. This involves bringing the information for the weapon (not the weapon itself) to PMO and filling out some paperwork.

Edit: While at school for my new MOS, I kept all my guns at someone's house on base, as they weren't allowed in the BOQ and I couldn't carry in the People's Republic of California anyway.

Well, being able to purchase powerful firearms such as those easily trump the overwhelming need to own handguns at your age anyways, haha. Good old American loopholes :D

Incidentally; Mustang_Wife...beautiful handguns, especially that Deagle.
Commendations all around on that purchase. :icon_mi_6

I don't know what the law is in Utah, but in Georgia at least you can poses a handgun 18> <21 if you either a.) buy it in a private sale or b.) recieve it as a gift. You just can't purchase from a dealer. I recieved a couple as HS graduation gifts...
