March 23 AMDO board

Yeah Naval Aviation rates and Air Force Maintainer careers are spelled out a little different. I was a SPEC (Advanced Fighter Aircraft Integrated Avionics Specialist) on F-22s for a while. Which is a Navy's AT, AE, and Aviation Structural Mechanic - Safety Equipment (AME) put together. When i came back into the Navy my whole AFSC was translated over to AT. Oh yeah, it doesn't hurt to submit your CCAF as well. Since mine was in Avionics Systems Technology. Also, if you've completed ALS and NCOA that's good as well. I put those in my package as well in regards to leadership, but this is for the SELRES AMDO.
Yeah I put all of that on my package. ALS, NCOA, Engine Management School, Community College of the Air Force Maintenance Management degree, and even maintenance planning certification that my boss allowed me time from work to do (thank god for that man pushing more than I wanted). I get so lost sometimes reading the post here, but I do my best to research Navy things. Its amazing how its all the same military but it might as well be a different country with all the differences in language, job titles, and culture.

When I joined the Air Force after the Navy I was lost for a while lol. Took me about two years to understand how the Air Force works in regards to maintenance. So a Chief/ LCPO is a Flight Chief, Maintenance Control is Pro Super. Certain jobs in the Air Force you can't do until your an E6 in the Navy. I understand the difference and where your coming from. Like the Navy doesn't have CCAFs, ALS or NCOA.

I got what I needed through a private message. Thank you though.
You don't have to thank me, I didn't do anything. Just making sure people are going through the right channels. But yeah, the recruiter should have be the first person to get confirmation. Is this for Active Duty or SELRES?

Okay, your posts has given me a lot of clarity. So thank you! So in terms of duty title I am somewhere in the Chief/LCPO range of duties since I am a Maintenance Management Section Chief. I'll probably do some research about Chief/LCPO to see if that is closer to my current duty title.

Active Duty. I'm currently enlisted and submitted the package myself. There were some delays in getting confirmation from NRC and Mr. Celestin

Results are out, congrats to those who made it! And for those that did not, keep polishing your package :)
