You have definitely touched on the most important points...your motivation, your qualities, what you offer, what the Navy offers, etc. I just made some changes in punctuation and wording in some places. Check them out and see what you think. So you know, I am a certified teacher of English composition and work full-time as a technical writer...so I have a great deal of experience writing and assessing writing. Let me know if you want/need any more help.
Revised statement:
Becoming an officer in the Navy is something that I have wanted to do my entire life. I have always had a desire, since an early age, to defend my country. I believe that as an officer, I can exemplify the values of the United States and those of the Navy. Values such as honor, courage, and commitment. I have a great respect for anyone who proudly serves their country, and I would see it as an honor and privilege to join these men and women as an officer.
Serving in the Navy is also a tradition in my family that would honorably continue with my service. My grandfather was a Lieutenant, and served aboard the USS Ranger as a Naval Aviator flying S-2s. My uncle also served aboard the USS John C. Stennis, and continues to serve in the reserves as a Petty Officer First Class. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to follow in their foot steps and leave some of my own.One of the things that I can offer the Navy is my skill as a leader. In all of the jobs that I have worked, I have excelled to leadership positions and effectively inspired people to work together efficiently under stressful conditions. I love working with people and working toward accomplishing the mission at hand. Because of this, I often form bonds that allow me to act effectively as a leader. I also have a moral code that I can bring to the Navy and instill in those under my command, helping them to one day be great leaders when it is their turn. There are a lot of things that the Navy can do for me. In the Navy, I hope to be a Naval Aviator. I love flying and I would love to join the great Navy pilots, and become the best pilot that I can be. I also hope to become a better leader with the Navy. It is my hope that the Navy allows me to serve as long as I am physically able, for there is no other place I would love to be. It would be an honor and privilege to serve my country as an Officer in the United States Navy.
~One last suggestion: You may want to reconsider the repetitive use of the word "love". Good fortune.
