Oct 2010 board

I know, it's killing me too. I check airwarriors about 20 times a day for any kind of news. This will either be an opportunity of a lifetime or a big disappointment...

I wouldn't do this until later in the month... Checking it that often right now is just going to make the wait longer and harder... I don't believe we would hear word until around the last week of October as the board doesn't typically release results until about week after the board meets.

I had a mad dash on Sept. 24th to sign papers and send them in, my recruiter assured me I had been submitted for October. Hope I'll be considered!

Well, I will be trying once again to get ahold of my processor to see if I'm going to be on this board. He assured me last week that he would know something by Tuesday, and he said if he didn't he'd get someone higher up to get things rolling. It's so close, and I just want to know if I'm going to have to wait until December.

So, anyone know if the board is meeting this Friday for sure or not?

Got ahold of my recruiter this morning. He told me that I am not going to be on the October board. When I originally started this process back this spring I weighed 222 pounds, 16 pounds above my 206 limit. I have dropped 20 of those pounds, and was at 204 when I weighed in with my recruiter and processor. My processor for some reason put down 208 on my application for the October board, which I turned in and they sent in at the end of August, and they caught that weight as above 206 and asked for a body fat measurement. I went into a local recruiting station the same day I found out they wanted the measurement up in Maryland while I was away on business, and sent that back to my processor. They sent that in, and then I found out today that I won't be on the board. Disappointing, but this one was way out of my hands. It is just disappointing to have to wait another month after working hard to get my weight down and get in shape so that I could be at this board. Oh well, on to November.

Stalin,

If I had your ASTB scores I would be very confident and ecstatic at well I scored.

Where about in GA do you live?

I live in the Peachtree City area, but going to college at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega. Peachtree City is a big aviation community, many ex-military pilots and current Delta Air Lines pilots.

So much is at stake that I'm still nervous. I do have good ASTB scores, but I still have some solid competitors. I do agree that ASTB scores should not be all they consider. I am not the head of multiple clubs or sports, rather, I prefer to invest a lot of time in things I love--Civil Air Patrol in high school and the National Guard currently. Hopefully that will not hurt me in the end.

I can't believe it has been a week since someone posted on this thread! I would have thought people would be "FLIPPING OUT" right now and telling everyone about it! ;)... I guess our group is a little more patient for a change which is nice!

I have been, but I was accidentally posting in the September board thread lol. I submitted my packet in September for October, so my mind is all messed up. Like I was saying in the other thread, boards were 13 Sep, and everyone found out 24 Sep (for the most part.) So it took around 11 days. I'm not sure if the October boards were on the 15th or 17th, but I think we'll know around the 25-29, anytime next week. I can't wait!

HAHAHA... You're flipping out so bad you don't even know what month it is! That's funny! What year is it? ;)

Yea... We discussed earlier that sometime next week is a good estimated time for finding out.

I just try to occupy my time with COD and Battlefield, seems to be a good distractor. But I have been checking this October thread about 20 times a day!
