When I was a kid I lived just north of there in a town called Mona Shores (not far from Muskegon Airport).
I’ve probably flown over that area 100 times. My favorite move was departing HWY and immediately calling Potomac to enter the SFRA via the FLUKY gate while maneuvering to hit the narrow corridor between Manassas and Quantico.
I've flown into a number of these private, turf airfields - typically under 3000'. In Ohio/KY/Indiana most of the owners are happy to welcome you with a quick phone call/PPR. I've found people very neighborly.
