Down in Atlanta for a unit conference - we've accessed a number of former Navy single anchor dudes who've seen the light and moved to AF land. Very cool!PXL_20250811_114758741.MP.jpg

I don’t know that they’ve “seen the light,” just that the Air Guard offers more part-time flying opportunities than the naval reserve. If USNR air was the same as it was in the Cold War era all of these guys would be flying with them.

Our unit offers pilot rated 0-4/O-5 the opportunity to drill for points only, get a good year towards a mil reserve retirement, advance if willing, and not maintain a separate aircraft qual which for airline guys is huge. All in a fairly low stress environment. We are an Active Duty unit with about 150 reservists and IMAs.
