The min ASTB scores for pilot in the Navy is a 4/5. But for pilot in the marines I think is a 4/6. So he may have to retake the exam if he is going marines.

I wouldn't think they would be different. The Marines use the Navy's standards when evaluating a flight candidate after commissioning and reporting to API, to my knowledge. Before commissioning is a different story. I would know because the OSO's office I talked to wanted to know everything about me, and the OSO didn't know the availability of air contracts at the time.

It says 4/6 but that it can change at any time.

First and foremost, thank you for the input everybody. My more complete package is oar 47 aqr 4 pfar 5 fofar 5. GPA- 3.7, dual major in poli sci/crim justice. 1 year of law school at the moment. 5+ Letters of Rec from former employers, 1 US Congressman (House Rep), and many former professors. As well as much volunteer work and community involvement/service.
I am applying to the Navy so I should have put OR(correct?), and not OSO.
Couple more ASTB questions:

1. On the last supplemental section, I was under the impression that it would be a combination of all of the sections, but mine was pretty much ALL aviation and naval information questions. Is it always like this?
2. Does anyone know if some of the questions are the same between the three different forms of the test, or are ALL of the questions completly different (but similar)?

Trey4383, did you check the ASTB advice I left for you: 2nd para., post #93 this thread?

BzB

Yes Sir, I most certainly did and am following that adivce! I was just wondering if anyone knew if any of the questions were the same or if they are completly different on each form of the test.

Thanks for the advice by the way. Hearing a very short version of your story is also inspiring!

I've fixed them, now I fly them!
My plan is to submit my package for the July board(June 19th deadline) by the 31st of May, at that time I will have a complete package.

If my package is submitted at the end of May, will it be considered for the June board?

Local NRD told me they are sending out packages on June 1st. I'm still waiting on 1 LOR but I'm not too worried.

I'm pretty sure this thread was also made for us to post stats, so I had to contribute since my package is just about finished.
