STA-21 is an enlisted-to-commissioning program, so you would not be eligible for it. You should contact a local officer recruiter to look into various BDCP programs. It's the same as applying for OCS after college, except you get paid a monthly salary + BAH while finishing school. Plus, unlike NROTC scholarships, you will guaruntee yourself a designator. One of the best deals in the Navy.

Gunjinc, there are a few guys that are/were STA-21 here. Start a new thread in the Enlisted Commissioning Programs forum and ask your question. It is too technical to be asking about in this thread. Sorry I can't help ya, I wasn't a prior when I came in and STA-21 hadn't even been dreamed up before I got off active duty.
1) What is the best time to show up to OCS? It says to show up between 8 and 11. Earlier the better?
2) I have heard you are supposed to be bring two pairs of shoes to OCS. One pair to keep new for inspections and one that are broken in. I also heard that they fit you up for shoes when you get there. So do you bring shoes or do they give you them?

1) if your orders say to report NLT 1100, then you report at 1059. It's THAT simple. Why would you subject yourself to even 30 seconds more of OCS voluntarily?
2) You will be able to purchase stuff there before RLP, so you CAN bring two pairs, but it's not necessary.

Agreed. My running shoes were badly stained with goose shit and did just fine. Just make sure when the D.I.'s throw them across the room, or down the P-way, that nothing falls off of them!

Is there anyway to get checked out before you go to OCS? I already have a third class medical with no problems and I'm in good health so I wouldn't see any reason as to why I would be disqualified but knowing before I go would probably relieve some anxiety.
Not past the MEPS physical, that's what it's there for. You could go to your own doctor ad nauseum to see if he could find anything wrong with you, but the bottom line is...
