My proposed drinking game is to drink:

Whenever McCain says "My Friends..." you know he is entering bullshit mode.

Whenever Obama starts something with "Look..." you know he is entering bullshit mode.

This game makes the most sense since liquoring up before the bullshit makes it all go down easier.

Take a double every time Obama says "((John) McCain) is absolutely right"

I was disappointed at the footage of McCain's speech in which he asked the question, "Who is the real Barack Obama?" Someone in teh audience screamed "terrorist!". I would have loved it if McCain took the high road and denounced that--something along the lines of, "while I certainly don't think he's a terrorist, I do think this demonstrates his extremely questionable judgement and also froces as to ask who else he might be assocaited with." Because really, no reasonable person thinks BO is a terrorist, regardless of what they make of the Ayers thing.

Letting a remark like that stand during one of his cmapaign stops--and thereby all but endorsing it with his silence--is inexcusable.

For a man who suffered so much from Bush's nasty tactics, it makes me sad to see him embracing those tactics himself. I'm very curious to see what his tone is tonight.

... Quit being lazy.
I'm retired ... lazy is only a state of mind. I've already paid my "dues" many, many times over ... I prefer the term "enjoy" life ...

It begins.

McCain seems very confident. We'll see how this goes.

Edit: Oh, snap! Obama just agreed with McCain three mins. into the debate.

Interesting reaction to Mr. Brokaw by Sen. Obama...He just slammed Sen. McCain for saying the "fundamentals of our economy are strong" yet when he was asked if the economy will get worse before it gets better, he said "I have confidence in the American economy"

So he either has confidence in a fundamentally unsound economy, or he also understands that the framework of work/ingenuity/business in America is strong...which is it?!!:icon_rage

McCain made a statement to the effect that the government will by bad home loans and give new mortgages to people at the current value of the persons home. I've been a conservative republican my entire life but if I heard this correctly he's lost my vote.
