Why did Biden remove their terrorist designation then? What a dumb move. Thankfully we have some sense back now. The previous admin’s (and by extension, Obama’s) stand on the houthis and Iran was puzzling to say the least
You apparently aren’t paying attention as to the why….maybe this will enlighten you on your previous comments.

Let's be gracious and presume Karoline Leavitt, Jesse Watters, Foghorn Leghorn, and @Yardstick are correct in their assessment of the material discussed. Okie doke.... Sean Spicer (and maybe this guy) would like a word....But, that doesn't resolve the pesky little problem of using a commercial messaging system. These people have so many options and technologies available to them, even in the portable device realm. Next, let's ask why the Atlantic writer's number was so easily entered - on mistake. I'll try on my foil hat for a second, but could it be that one of the OPSEC ninjas with their commitment to rooting out leakers had the dude on "speed dial" and had a habit of communicating with Goldberg? Someone should ask Goldberg very directly if this was the first time Waltz had messaged him. Of course, it could absolutely be just an accident, "I meant to add general such and such, but zoinks(!), it's the editor of the Atlantic." That could totally happen. Finally, how many of these people also have TikTok on these phones.....?

It's sloppy, it's amateur, and it's grossly hypocritical.
Ian Bremmer has a hypothesis here:

That said, I expect this to blow over relatively soon - I suspect more people are looking at their March Madness bracket and who is the starting pitcher on Opening Day (Thursday) then cares what is happening in Yemen.

Pulling this one out again...
Sometimes people confuse 4D chess with simply flipping the board over, spilling all the pieces, and taking a dump on the table. Kinda feels like a lot more of the dumping and a lot less of the check-mating to me.

It's subtle, but there's a difference.

Ian Bremmer seems like a smart enough guy, but seems like he likes the smell of his own farts...big media trots him out to comment on anything/everything regarding anything international related....I said what I said and I don't get paid for it.

He bowls overhand.
Of course. That is why I said it was germane and not analogist.

So, considering "negligence and willful disregard of procedures", there are the facts he did remove by subterfuge a classified publication from a building from which it was not supposed to leave and then heaped on transporting it in an irresponsible manner. Not sorry it worked out the way that it did. He was truly a great guy. We were friends for years.

Point being, we rarely court martial for such lapses
This.

The instances where we hammer someone is not only when they create spillage, but they willfully attempt to give or sell it to someone who isn't cleared to have it, usually a foreign actor.

Which didn't happen in this case.

Which parts did you disagree with - and did you find any observations had merit?

What sources and / or analysts do you find informative?

So something interesting I discussed that provides a common explanation of the Hillary case with this...

Government communications on official devices are subject to record keeping rules. Most of us peons think nothing of that when sending emails, but when your position is high in the political food chain, this poses a real personal and professional risk to you.

Meaning, Hillary, SECDEF, and whoever else has conducted official business on personal devices probably views their government provided devices as compromised - by that, I mean that their political opponents have access to use their communications against them at any time out of context.

So the risk of chatting details on personal devices 'just among us girls' is perceived as lower than that. Especially among the type of person who is power hungry yet perceives they have a lot of enemies inside the beltway.

Worth pausing to reflect on the magnificent, staring at the sun level of stupidity. Mind boggling stupidness. Lick a cattle prod level of stupid…

Trump…referring to him (Goldberg) in rallies and on social media as a “sleazebag,” “con man” and “slimeball reporter.”

Hegseth told reporters Monday that Goldberg was “a deceitful and highly discredited so-called journalist who’s made a profession of peddling hoaxes time and time again.” He added, “This is a guy that peddles in garbage.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a post on X Tuesday that Goldberg is “well-known for his sensationalist spin.”

So little respect. And yet they invited him to a chat.

What could the Houthis have done with a two hour heads up of an incoming attack?

I hope Goldberg releases the chat.

Not a signal user. Understand chats auto delete. That runs afoul of laws that require certain communications be preserved.
