I in fact did not get selected. Recruiter mentioned one of my panel appraisers gave me a 5 stating I'm probably better for 1815 or the warrant program -__- while I got a 10s and 9s from the others. Thinks this was the issue. But idk, round two in September I guess.

That would indeed kill an application, I would see if your recruiter knows if the panel interviewers are the same ones they use regularly as ours were.

Got Selected today, first time up! Wasnt expecting to get picked up because I got 3 10’s on my panel but a 5 on my OIC which I assumed would kill my chances.

That makes no sense, who told you that you had a 5 for OIC, that is the most important score and how will the OIC view you as an officer if he gave you that low of a score?

Yeah that has to be the wrong score of OIC, if you were selected.

Well, I received word from my recruiter this afternoon that I was not selected. Thought I had a fairly solid package but evidently not. I plan to reapply one more time for the Fall board.

I’m open to any suggestions from anyone here on actions I can take to be more competitive. Unfortunately I can’t change my age, degree, or civilian career.

My recruiter told me it was a 5, I obviously haven’t seen the appraisal sheet myself just going of word of mouth.

Made an account just to reply to this. I'm also non-prior service and working towards applying for the upcoming selection board. Is there a limit to the amount of times you can apply? Not sure what you meant by saying "if you're non prior service you're already ineligible".

In contact with a recruiter of course, but would like to get an answer here before I go to him with a potentially stupid question. I couldn't find anything online about ineligibility after multiple applications. Or being non-prior service for that matter.

EDIT: Late night brain moment. Just noticed you can see peoples age on this site if you check their profile, for posterity he may have been referring to the persons age (47) combined with non-prior service. Which from my memory does result in ineligibility. Perhaps "remediable" with a waiver...
