Based on my civilian boat captaining experience, the one on the left is going faster (faster spinning props churning up more water)

This happens fairly commonly in C7F w/ the PRC. Great work here by the air asset and the ship capturing the imagery to tell the story in an intuitive way the public can understand.

May or may not have stood watch with a watchteam in the engineroom while in the Persian Gulf with very relaxed uniforms early in my career.

Maybe I missed some better pics/video, but our own pic above does not show (what I am assuming was) an overtaking situation. The video link doesn’t have 5 short. All of this gives the Russians an in to twist the truth.
