Recruiter was trying to sell me the SWO life but idk if its worth jumping from one place to another if it doesn't work

I’ve heard SWO is an intense community. A sort of “rub someone the wrong way, see ya later” type of deal. I’m trying to get a hold of a current LtCdr. In the community to see what life is like. Will definitely post what he has to say about it, if you’d like?

Of course, the Navy is reforming the community and expected changes are to occur in 2023.

Stay at my job making geospatial products for a natural gas company and keep trying. I have my masters and have considered my PhD, but honestly I know this is what I want and not a PhD but time will only tell at this point the outcome.
Legit was in the same position. Was going to get my PhD when I submitted my package. Never really wanted to go onto grad school, so when I was PROREC-Yed I withdrew my acceptance.

If I was PROREC-N, I was going to move countries and pursue the PhD.

Legit my masters my research was in remote sensing and I just knew I would not want to write a dissertation after having wrote a 140 page masters thesis. Grad school sucked lol

I'm choosing to ignore my plan B for the time being and stay entirely focussed on studying, but plan B would most likely be to enlist and simultaneously look for any way to re-apply (with any needed waivers) or find any way to obtain flight training and try to fly as a civilian afterwards. Really don't know exactly... I'm not going to worry about it unless I have to.

For plan B, if i take the commission.... id love to be a sub driver. Subs have always fascinated me. If not, I'll probably continue to be a bum CFI and go to an airline or part 91/135 when I have the flight time.
