I thought of enlisting in the Marines, but being 25 surrounded by 17-18 year olds and being the oldest junior enlisted in most units would feel like a step backwards for me, but thats just my opinion

I’ve heard SWO is an intense community. A sort of “rub someone the wrong way, see ya later” type of deal. I’m trying to get a hold of a current LtCdr. In the community to see what life is like. Will definitely post what he has to say about it, if you’d like?

Of course, the Navy is reforming the community and expected changes are to occur in 2023.
I dont know anything about the SWO field so thatd cool to hear about it, im still new to the Navy so trying to see what else I can do, God forbid I don't get pilot

Also, USMC officers are required to have significantly higher PT scores than Navy... like 18 minute 3 mile time high.
I was looking into the PLC (platoon leadership course) and when I started reading the forums and etc about the PT expectations, I was like “no I’m out”

Both SNA they are combined into one Air contract and usually the number varys for the nation how many contracts are available. It could range from 1 to 8 or more per region of the country. High PFT score will get you past the board. The rest of the pipeline is the same except for the additional 6 month TBS ground training

Who here thinks someone will hear of results next week? From most of the other boards a few people find out early.
I was hoping for next week but not feeling as confident. Aside from the August board looks like most take about 1 month for official results.

On a side note I saw in another thread that the Navy is officially labeling all the class date shifts from FY22 to FY23 as “the great rescheduling” in official documents. Thought that was hysterical and honored we are a part of something so great.
