Poke around a few other threads, from what DIVO posted it isn't going to happen until March, and some of the SWO guys have said they are being pushed to FY15, that indicates FY14 might be full, but DIVO can look on the goal sheet and give better info.

Thats horrible, I hope not... That'll call for some tough decisions on my part. I'll look around and see what I can find, thanks for the quick response

Its just part of what is recruiting, usually when one FY is done another FY opens up fairly soon.

My package was put in for SWO on January 3rd, I was told I would here back mid to late January... still haven't heard back. Stats:

Civilian
BS in Biology, 3.56 GPA
OAR score: 56

Hopefully we'll find out in the next few days

My situation is similar. I was told the same thing. Called yesterday and was told mid February now. The wait is the worse part! Have you gotten any updates?

Just about the same thing as you, except she said they didn't know when in February the board would meet. She said that they were waiting to get 100 kits in and that its just been slow because no one works half of December. She also mentioned that NROTC and the Naval Academy were about to pick there jobs so that might give us less spots. What are your stats?

NROTC and USNA are allotted a specific number of billets, so that will have no affect it is not like all of a sudden they find 100 more midshipmen, OCS is the variable in officer accessions, if they need more than they put more thru OCS, if they need less than the number goes down, the overall officer accession number is the hard number, without the plan being signed no one knows what the true OCS numbers are.

OAR 59. 3.9 gpa in linguistics. and of course i'm a civilian hopefully for now only!

And to add to that... I know the next rolling boards can take place anytime there is enough applicants but if anyone has insight when that would be exactly? I just submitted my packet today and curious as to when I should be expecting selection results.

No, I had several upgrades to my packet since my last board to include...finishing my BAS (submitted on my last semester the first time), re-did my entire motivational statement (included a lot more leadership and motivational qualities), picked up 1st Class and made Lead Training Officer (was a BM2 on my first go round with no official title), added another EP eval, my 100+ volunteer service hrs (had no volunteer work initially), and much better LORs from my chain and civilian occupation.

I sure hope this was enough...If I get another Pro Rec N, then I'm gonna have no choice but to retake my astb. My OR said my score now is good for swo but somewhere in the 50s is where you wanna be. Was kinda hoping my gpa would counter balance my astb score.

It sure would be nice for both of us to get picked up. Your stats are competitive too, so all there is to do now is wait....just wish I had an idea of just how long that wait was gonna be.
