In theory, he's right! If the results are not out, no one has been selected!!
Mine called me once....I was a different person back then. Younger, naive, more idealistic.Does anyone else have a recruiter who never ever calls them?
"Except for anything pertinent to the board. So no, we can't actually answer half your questions, but here is a brochure! Also, you look smart. How do you feel about nuclear energy?" I knew an OR who pimped out the nuclear program to anyone who would listen. He was relentless."Come to the office and we'll tell you everything you want to know."
Oh madam, you and I both. I not only call my recruiter, but also email my processor and frequently talk to the petty officer in charge of taking calls at the office. You call it bugging, I call it networking. Those wheels wont turn unless you grease them!I almost feel like I am bugging my recruiter. Most of the stuff I have gotten together outside of the office I had to call for and figure out on my own. He has never called me on his own before. Always just calls me back. I feel like I am bugging him or something. I don't want to call and ask because I feel like he doesn't want to talk to me about it. Just wanted to see if anyone else is in the same boat.
It's just such an uncomfortable position! I just want to be updated on what I need and news about what is going on. Isn't that supposed to be their job??Oh madam, you and I both. Amongst other things. I mean, they have to actively recruit to as well as various other administrative tasks so they keep a pretty busy schedule. That being said, you know you've made an impression when they get back to you immediately. It use to take a week or so for my processor to email me, now it just takes a matter of minutes. She knows I'll just email her every couple of days otherwise....It's just such an uncomfortable position! I just want to be updated on what I need and news about what is going on. Mine don't call either. When I do call, I do feel as though I am bugging him, but in his defense, there really hasn't been a reason to call.. I don't think he has a clue what is going on with the SWO results either. Also, I just email him when I have a question and he answers back to that quickly and I feel as though I am not bugging him as much that way lolIt's just such an uncomfortable position! Oh, I don't have that persistence. I end up just waiting for a response for a good while. I am a bit frustrated at waiting, but keeping up with air warriors has kept me much more in the loop. Because of this site, I know that results have come in and that SWOs are just last to hear. If I only depended on my recruiter, I would be blindfolded with crickets sounding off around me with this stuff.Amongst other things. Ha! If I only depended on my recruiter I wouldn't know much at all!I fully admit that when I initially contacted them I knew absolutely nothing about the various officers programs, or honestly the Navy as a whole. My first recruiter was retiring so he didn't really care and my new one doesn't talk much. I really wish they had a DEP like program for officers. That would be incredibly helpful.Oh, I don't have that persistence. I end up just waiting for a response for a good while. The result are not out yet so you mean no one selected "yet"Just talked to a processor at NRD San Diego, nobody was selected for SWO from San DIego
