I was told yesterday that the next Navy SNA selection board won't be until October. If I understand it right, the selections for this fiscal year are over and they are awaiting numbers for the next fiscal year before they hold another board.

Where is @AaronJB with the head shaking gif??? haha

@National OPO any chance you can confirm this?

So does anybody have any ideas on how to find out if my packet made it to the June board? I asked but did not get a response... -__-

He has repeadedly said boards will be at least 90-120 after the last one, but they have proven to be much sooner, any changes he has always posted right away.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to predict or confirm the next board date.

I'm more curious about how this year ended up and what the numbers are going to look like for the next fiscal year. It seemed like they took a ton of SNA/NFO applicants this fiscal year and I'm just hoping that trend continues going into the next fiscal year!

FYI: To link a specific post, click on the timestamp underneath it. Your URL should now have a # sign in it followed by a post number.

For example, in the post you mentioned, clicking on "Jun 26, 2014" should give you this:
http://www.airwarriors.com/community/index.php?threads/national-opo-blog.41711/page-18#post-783880
Clicking on that link will go to that page and scroll right to that post.

So got back from my recruiter... Apparently officer processor sent it up on 18 Jun.... Any guesses as to whether that was in on time for that board?

Joking... But seriously. I can not get anything from my recruiter, and it appears that he is slightly out of the loop.

Most likely, your application did not make it to the most recent boards. If it did, your recruiter would be able to see a status of "Pro-Rec Y" or "Pro-Rec N" for your application. The next one is 90-120 days from now, maybe sooner (as was the case for the July board after the May one).

I'm glad there are still people who can take a good joke especially when they're considering joining the Navy!!

Dude... that's life, not just Navy. I've had everything and lost it all. The only thing that got me through those times were being able to laugh at the situation. If you can't take a joke, your life is probably miserable.

Yes and Yes.
after reviewing my package my CO didn't mention how soon I could transfer in his statement either. In our conversations leading up to my submission he said that he would allow me to go as soon as they wouldtake me up to the"bigs." Is this something I should worry about?
