You are also so much older than me , I can truly understand your frustration. No I would not. I would resent every pilot I saw or flew with.

I’m in the same situation and would also like to know how this is done.
I did not request NFO, have zero interest in NFO and, despite many years of pursuing a career in the Navy will likely drop it and go civilian if there’s no recourse. If I were interested in anything else it would have been naval intelligence and I didn’t request told my recruiter, now he's telling me he's writing me a letter of resignation for my commission.
I’m October 16 but trying to change to September. Either way, I’ll see you there! ?For any other SNFO that got picked up for 4-sep-22 OCS, here the thread
My CO hasn’t even sent a release date yet ??♂️I’m October 16 but trying to change to September. Either way, I’ll see you there! ?
For those accepted this board, congrats.
I am looking at retaking the ASTB and reapplying the next board. Also trying to beef up my package by taking some flight lessons and redoing my motivational statement. For those that were accepted, what did your motivational statements look like? Also, do you have any recommendations on what else I can do to make myself look better? I know ASTB is number one but how much does flight experience help?
Thanks in advance.
what were your old scores?Lol just looked at my aspr , old scores on it.
Lmao 43 4/6/6 my next scores were 51 6/7/7what were your old scores?
Recruiter says he updated them.Lmao 43 4/6/6 my next scores were 51 6/7/7
If you decline do so via email and be specific as to why you are declining and how you did not apply for NFO and had no desire to apply for NFO.I’m in the same situation and would also like to know how this is done.

Does this make it difficult to reapply afterwards ?If you decline do so via email and be specific as to why you are declining and how you did not apply for NFO and had no desire to apply for NFO.
I think it’s a place holder for AD guys/gals. I’m sure once your CO gives the earliest date of release, Mr. Celestin will change it for your Fin Sel letterMy CO hasn’t even sent a release date yet ??♂️
Your recruiter really did you dirty man, are you planning on taking the commission as an NFO?Recruiter says he updated them.
A decline and reapply could be difficult anyway, this just clearly states why a person is declining as if you have a shady recruiter who knows what they will say the actual reason is you are declining if you don't specify.Does this make it difficult to reapply afterwards ?
Im still kinda taking it in, I probably will. I might try NFO to pilot in the future if timing permits but idk honestly I certainly don’t want to decline a commission if there’s a possibility of me getting barred from getting one again.Your recruiter really did you dirty man, are you planning on taking the commission as an NFO?
If you are good with NFO take it.Im still kinda taking it in, I probably will. I might try NFO to pilot in the future if timing permits but idk honestly I certainly don’t want to decline a commission if there’s a possibility of me getting barred from getting one again.
